Mona Lissa is an artist who’s journey is filled with delicious paradoxes that fuel her creativity. Born in Northern Quebec, this daughter of a German mother and East Indian father embodies a unique mélange of cultural influences. Mona Lissa is also a Ph.D. in Psychology who has published papers on the neurochemistry of music.

As a professional singer, Mona Lissa has graced the stage at Upstairs Jazz Bar & Grill and House Of Jazz and at prestigious festivals, including the Montreal International Jazz FestivalJust For Laughs Festival and POP Montreal. Her musical collaborators include renowned jazz pianist Billy Georgette (Biddles, House of Jazz) and Juno-Award winning producer Rob Heaney (Cirque du Soleil, Patrick Watson). 

Finally, Mona Lissa is a songwriter who has released her own original material under the moniker Chanda M. Her original music has garnered critical acclaim and press coverage, including on CIBL 101,5 FM, one of Canada’s most popular French language radio stations.
